Where is My Mind?

It seems like every time I write, I’m apologizing for the long delays between posts. I would personally blame Justin for that. But then again I blame Justin for pretty much anything. Speaking of him, his boy Skrillex is the man of the hour and is tearing Beatport apart, but don’t tell Justin that or he’ll go on this long rant on how he sucks now. Gotta admit, I’m kinda disappointed with his new album myself but at least, for every track he releases, there seems to be a sick remix. My personal favourite is with no doubts this next one that just gets so pumped and makes me want to fight. Wonder why…

Kill Everybody (Bare Noize Remix) - Skrillex

Big Boss – Doctor P

Alright so you’ve got the new Doctor P track and all the good dubstep I’ve been hearing lately has gotten me so hyped up for Igloofest. But with exams and all coming there’s few things better than some good chill dubstep  for you to sit back and relax to and there’s few better at it than Jakwob.

Daydreaming (Jakwob Remix) – Kid Sister

A Life Worth Living (Jakwob Remix) – Alan Pownall (Very fawking hawt)

I can’t describe how god the second track is, (very fawking hawt is an understatement) and I’m kicking myself for not knowing it before.  I’m sorry, here’s the the best end of movie song ever remixed in apology.

Where Is My Mind (Bassnectar Remix) – The Pixies

Just learned today that Michael Woods is in Montreal next week December 9th at Theatro Montreal. Not a huge fan but it promises to be sick. Also for those of you like me who have nothing planned on New Year’s Eve, there’s two ridiculous shows at Red-Lite and Circus.  The lineup is Avicii and Cosmic Gate compared to W&W, Ummet Ozcan and Adam K at Red-Lite and Circus respectively. It was heart breaking decision and although I’ve already seen Cosmic Gate and Avicii and none of the others, I just had to chose them, just had to.

Before I go, here’s a track that still blows my mind after more than a year from Ashley Wallbridge (Gareth 2.0) and Andy Moor. I’ll leave the honour to Fred an Justin to cover Chris Lake and all the awesomeness that comes with him.

Faces (feat. Meighan Nealon) – Ashley Wallbridge & Andy Moor

I Need More Painkillers!

What’s up ladies and gents? We haven’t posted anything for a while so here’s a little music to brighten your week. And, especially for Will, there’s gonna be a bit of everything, not just trance.

image Before we get to the music though, I think this picture on the right is pretty self explanatory. Steve Angello is coming Friday at the Telus Theatre. Tickets are 30 bucks and totally worth it in my opinion. Also, according to Justin, there should be a guest appearance by Axwell which would be insane. But you didn’t really think that the night would end there I hope? The same night (or morning, whatever you fancy really), Sean Tyas is playing at Circus Afterhours and its only a few blocks away and 15$ entry. So basically, you get to see two of the worlds top 50 Djs in one night, you’d have to be crazy or Wei to miss it.

So this first track is a new release and I just can’t stop listening to it. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I like almost everything that Mysto & Pizzi do. If you haven’t heard of them yet, go check’em out on Youtube, they’re hilarious.

Malo (Mysto & Pizzi Remix) – Avicii

Let’s face it, it just wouldn’t be one of my posts if I didn’t have any trance in it.

Painkillers (Stoneface & Terminal Remix) – Kyau & Albert

Good Dreams (Barnes & Heatcliff Remix) – tyDi

Hands to Hold Me (feat. Cristina Soto) – Tritonal

By the way, Armin is having a vote on his website for the song of the year. If you’re like me and you look for any reason not to study, there’s  a huge list of great tracks you can check out. Oh and if Stoneface isn’t the best Dj name I just don’t know what is.

This next track I did not like at first, I found it kinda boring but I just could not get it out of my head.

I Can’t Stop – Flux Pavilion

And finally, this final track is getting kind of mixed reviews. It’s a weird mix between trance and d&b. Mostly, if you liked the original trance version you might not like it but I still find it sick. There cannot be enough mixes of this song.

On a Good Day (Metropolis) (J Majik & Wickaman Remix) – OceanLab vs. Gareth Emery

Aight so I don’t feel like ranting on Dj Mag since Justin took care off that in brilliant fashion so here’s a picture of the wisest most badasses lemur there is.

I’m really in a trance mood so here’s a little something something.      Since life is awesome, here’s some awesome music to compliment it.

Martin Solveig & Dragonette – Hello (Michael Woods Remix)

Jochen Miller – uPad

Both tracks featured on Gareth’s podcast, although Jochen Miller’s is a bit unconventional for him, it’s still baller. Oh an I’m not a usually a big Michael Woods fan but this is a massive, massive track. Just massive.

I really looked a long time for this next Myon & Shane54 track because although it was featured on A State Of Trance a while ago, I couldn’t seem to track it down so i had to settle with a rip. Very good nonetheless.

Myon & Shane54 – International Departures (Classic Anthem Mix)

Soundlift – Empty Streets (Daniel Kandi Remix)

And finally, if you’ve been to any kind of raves/concerts this summer, for sure you’ve heard at least one of these tracks.

Mr. Pit – Sky Traffic (Personal favourite, no doubts homeboi)

Marc Marberg vs. Kyau & Albert – Megashira

Piece of advice, don’t fuck with ninja lemur…
