So since school is over or almost over for some of you unlucky ones, I decided that summer should start off on the right foot. What better way to do that than share with you guys this awesome video/song by South African band Die Antwoord. Now you’re all going “Hip-hop? Really? Thats so 1990’s” But take a look you won’t be disappointed.
Aight so for those who didn’t catch on, this is pretty much jokes. But there are three reasons why I like this:
1- It’s made as a parody but the guy takes himself so seriously that its hilarious.
2- SOUTH AFRICAN ACCENT ROCKS!!!
3- The main singer is as skinny as me.
So basically because I had no life, I decided to check out what song they sampled their chorus from and even if its hard to believe, its an even funnier song with a hilarious clip and if you’re bored, definitely check it out, guaranteed to stay in your head all day.
But enough with the jokes, now on to the main attraction and this week its going to be some trance brought to you by W&W, two Djs from the Netherlands (what a surprise). So according to my good friend Wikipedia, these two have only been together from 3 years, but its been a great 3 years. These are monster songs at raves and you’ll notice that some them were played at Bal en Blanc It’s some Armada so get it while its hot!
So even before I get the comments, I know most of these have notoriously long intros that you might consider to be a turn off but believe in moi, it’s worth the wait.
By the way, tickets are on sale for Tiësto on July 18th at the Beach Club, they are not too expensive (around 60$) and you can get them at www.tiestotickets. Doors open at 8am I think cause Beach Club is open all day so there shouldn’t be such a wait. Everyone cool is coming so yeah you better be there. Oh and one more thing, not being man enough to tell your mother you want to go is not a valid excuse…

Other writers have been writing a lot lately and since I didn’t really have that much time to post, I didn’t really bother finding time. The semester is almost over and that means that parties start, but parties without music sucks. There’s this new tendency around here, they call it “dubstep parties”, which is pretty much rave parties without rave music. Hmmm. Great idea, but I’m not sure what hard drugs do on people that listen to dubstep… haha. Someone should do some research on this. Last dubstep party I went to was decent, but I remember one thing: the DJ did not know what the two words “mixing properly” meant. I suggest he donates all his equipment to me(he had nice CDJs and other piece of gear). I also suggest that he starts playing already recorded mixes instead of raping people’s ears. (He wasn’t thaaaat bad, but I still think he should learn to not suck at life)
Wow it’s so strange how the previous paragraph fits with the music I want to talk about! O.M.G. ! (if you’re a Rusko fan and you don’t get this, go die in a fire pleaseeee; thanks.)
Rusko released his new album about last week and I’ve been listening to it quite a bit. Here is what I think:

Nawww, I keed’. Seriously though it’s a great album that isn’t really near Rusko’s typical dubstep style. It’s less dirty and more “pop? (if you want to call it like that) It’s a lot less aggressive but still pretty awesome and Rusko was able to keep that dubstep drop in every song, even the more chill ones. See for yourself!

On to some more filthy and dirty and everything you want to hear when listening to dubstep. I came across a really sick mix from Kabz, some Chicago DJ (again). Since I’m really really REALLY bad at summarizing stuff here is the full info on Kabz. He knows DJ Solo by the way. Check THIS post for stuff on DJ Solo.

I obviously wrote all this (not). His mixes are sick and extremely filthy. I think the DJ from the dubstep party should play this instead of destroying my ears. Allah dammnit. Bet you weren't expecting that last one huh? Anyways, as I was saying earlier in this post, I got some great songs for you that aren't new but they're pretty good and I think it puts you in a summer mood.
So theres an artist called Twocker which consists of producers Alex Calver or Calvertron and Will Bailey. They haven't released any new tracks in a while because they are both working on their own stuff. Twocker's style is a mixture of both individual artists' sound which gives way to some pretty cool tracks. Enjoy :)
GUESS WHAT? Piknic Electronik posted its schedule for this summer!
Finally For those who don't know (or don't live around Montreal), Piknic Electronik is a weekly event happening on Sundays. It is located in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the Île Notre-Dame which is an artificial island built in 10 months from 15 million tons of rock excavated for the Montreal Metro in 1965. Piknic is easily the most awesome compilation of events you can possibly go to on a Sunday. Why? Because it's possible to just lie down, have a piknic and enjoy the musik but if you have a lot of energy to spend, you can join the crowd and dance around like a crazy person. I might add that there are a lot of crazy people there, but it's all part of the atmosphere. Either way, there is something for everyone (literally) to do and you will often even see parents walking around with little kids, enjoying the nice weather and musik.
Now as you probably guessed it, different artists play every week. If the same person played everytime, things would get boring REALLY quickly. This is why the posting of the 2010 program is so important. We finally get to see who is playing. Well...here it is:

Alright, sorry for the lateness, its been a long time coming but I finally got down to this post. So, most of you guys already know a bit about this guy, but he's just so badass that we had to make sure the whole world knew about him. Yeah, like the title says, its Borgore bitches!
So like I mentioned earlier, this guy is pretty well known, he used to be a drummer in an Israeli metal band and then turned to an awesome dubstepper. What I like the most about him though, apart from the insane wobble, is the misogynist lyrics of most of his songs (for those of you who don't know what that means, I recommend checking it out, for all you who already knew, congratulations on being educated). Actually, when some dumb lady just hits your parked car and tries to blame it on you, this is some good music to listen to.
Alright so as most of you already know, i like trance, A LOT! So, as a little extra, I'm gonna share a track that was shown to me by my homeboy Wei Su. Even Will might like this one...
