Good Song and Randomness. I Like the Vibe, Yeah.

So like I said in my last post, I’m extremely busy this week (next week too), so I’m sorry in advance if I cannot keep up with posts. To summarize, I have tests and essays to do/study, there is Deadmau5 on Friday and my girlfriend takes a lot of my time (this one and deadmau5 are awesome). Weee.

I don’t have much music to post, sadly, because I barely have the time to listen to any music or to browse other blogs. SO, Here it goes, starting with the track and then with two upcoming album reviews.

I talked about Bleuet about two weeks ago and he sent me an email this week, saying that his new remix is out. He likes remixing terrible tracks... and making them better, more indie_ish. I really like this one. I really hate the original track though, I really do. Yes, you guessed right, another remix of Pitbull... holy shit. This one is more dark ravey-lounge. You should like it.

Fun stuff, roar.

I downloaded the promo CD of Power (Boys Noize’ upcoming album), and from what I’ve heard, it’s pretty tight if you like his style. If you didn’t get the chance to pick up the two tracks from his EP, get them here. It’s Jeffer and Starter. Just letting you know though, this album is messed up, in a good way. Can’t wait to get the normal and legal version of the tracks (without the “HI THIS IS A PROMOTIONAL COPY OF BOYS NOIZE’ UPCOMING ALBUM, POWER, BROUGHT YOU BY BOYS NOIZE RECORDS. GOOD STUFF” or something like that).

Then, I’ve downloaded and listened to Tiesto’s upcoming album Kaleidoscope. I know most of you hate trance, so I’ll be brief. The tracks are mostly all good and you don’t get sick of the style. He is less “spiritual” if you can call it like that (less parts with classical instruments that give you the feeling you’re watching a movie). Although I enjoyed that aspect of his music, this album is really kickass. It has more potential radio-wise, with songs featuring Calvin Harris and such (NELLY FURTADO WEEEE). I really like it. Here is the tracklist (sorry, no links, I’m not allowed...).

01. Kaleidoscope (Feat. Jonsi) (7:36)
02. Century (Feat. Calvin Harris) (4:42)
03. Feel it in My Bones (Feat. Tegan and Sara) (4:52)
04. Who Wants to Be Alone (Feat. Nelly Furtado) (4:36)
05. La Ride (4:13)
06. Bend it Like You Dont Care (3:22)
07. Knock You Out (Feat. Emily Haines) (5:06)
08. Louder than Boom (4:10)
09. Surrounded by Light (2:39)
10. Escape Me (Feat. Cc Sheffield) (4:17)
11. You Are My Diamond (Feat. Kianna) (4:10)
12. I Will Be Here (Feat. Sneaky Sound System) (3:26)
13. I Am Strong (Feat. Priscilla Ahn) (5:39)
14. Here on Earth (Feat. Cary Brothers) (4:55)
15. Always Near (1:33)
16. Its Not the Things You Say (Feat. Kele Okereke) (3:14)
17. Fresh Fruit (5:23)

Who wants cookies?

I do.

What the hell.

Okay so. I’ve been listening to this DJ for a while now, but I never felt like posting about him. This guy has the best name ever (after mine of course): Chewy Chocolate Cookies. HOW AMAZING IS THAT, HOLY SHIT?! Well his name is not the only amazing thing in this guy. His tracks are usually remixes of songs that aren’t danceable at all (MOST of the time, NOT all the time). You probably heard the remix he did of Genesis (from Justice) and if you didn’t, you’re missing out on something. Try thinking of Genesis, but danceable, and that, without unknown substances in your blood. Yeah, you said it: Dayrm.

His most recent release is a remix of Pon De Floor (from Major Lazer), which is totally insane. I know Pon De Floor was already a danceable-ish track, but he added some ravey effect to the song, while keeping the tribal feel. He just made it more headbanging, that’s all, yeah, okay. IT’S STILL HAWT FROM THE OVEN, ENJOY TEH COOKIEZZ.

By the way, I won't be able to post a lot for about 2 weeks, since I have all my assignments to hand in and I have tests and stuff. SORRIES.

Pants Off, I meant... Pance Party.

You’re probably asking yourself what the hell I’ll talk about, since not many people know about Pance Party and because the title of this post sounds so great. Pance Party is a group of 3 DJs from San Francisco. They’ve been pumping a couple remixes that are all great. These guys are talented, really. Their stuff mixes some house to some dirty-ish electro and sometimes some bubbly sound effects. Get some. Hah.

Their EP is out and free to get on their website: it's worth checking. They had some of their tracks dominate the hypem charts not too long ago and it wasn’t because they got lucky... their songs were actually good. I hate how sometimes the first song in popular (top20) sucks seriously (on hypem). Oh well, these doesn’t. ENJOY PRINCESS(es).

The Presets - Kicking and Screaming (Pance Party's Never Grow Up RMX)

Chester French - She Loves Everybody (Pance Party Remix)

Get the EP and other remixes here. There is a link to their Myspace and info about them if you want to learn more.

I Like It, Darling.

Who doesn’t remember the pokemon soundtracks... or even better, the first Final Fantasy soundtracks? We all know the “sound quality” was terrible, but we still all loved it. 8-bit music is amazing, end of story. I found some wannabe pokemon theme songs, or just some wannabe 8-bit songs. The first track is from Electrixx and uses the Tetris soundtrack, but just to make us think it’s an 8-bit song. At one point it plays (the original), but it changes to some hard-ish house beat (you’ll understand what I mean if you DARE listening to it).

Electrixx – Tetris
Game Over.

The second track is from an emerging artist, Boy 8-Bit. I really like his work, it’s unique. I would call it “light oldschool electro”. It isn’t some hard beats to dance to, but has a certain feel to it, making it enjoyable. It’ll probably make you happy if you’re in the right mood. At least it works for me, hah. This is my personal favourite right now, KNOW WHAT I’M SAYIN’?!

Boy 8-Bit – Baltic Pine
I want my music box, and my gf.

I posted another song that could fit in this “8-Bit” style that you can find here. It’s Lykke Li – Little Bit (Death to the Throne Re-remix). Oh well. I really like that one too. What the hell, I like every track I post. Yeah, whatever.

BONUS TRACK:
Unconditiona - Gladiators (Nari & Milani Remix)
Has no real link with 8-Bit music but I felt like posting it anyways, it's another "relax" song, but with (guess what!!!!?) more groove. Listen to the lyrics around 4:00.

I’ll make her say

I think you guessed that I loved music that makes you bang your head around or bounce. Well I’m sorry to announce you that if you don’t like that kind music, you won’t like this post. Hah.

When I think groovy music, I think of many artists, but it’s often Nadastrom. His tracks sound a lot like late night tracks, but with a touch of fresh coolness. All of you probably already heard Kid Cudi say “I’ll make her say, blah blah blah” right? Guess what, Nadastrom remixed the song and the result is pretty nasty. Good music to dance to is always fun to hear. You’ll like these.

BLUEBERRY GOT PRIMED, WAT!?

Yeah eh? What the hell is up “wif the fawking blueberries mang”? Well my friend created light (again) in my life, by making me discover Bleuet (blueberry in French). Gaultier Paré, also known as Bleuet, is a Montreal DJ/Producer that has a lot of potential.

His tunes involve a couple different styles, from dirty electro, to a kind dubstep-ish sound, mixed with rap and glitchy effects (sometimes he even adds a tribal feel to it!). The way his songs are built is really fun, because they aren’t near a style you hear everywhere, but it doesn’t sound like some car exploding with gnomes dancing around (like some other DJs that ATTEMPT to be special... but fail at being good AND special). Sounds more like a rainbow of colours with me smoking a blunt (purple) in front of it (YEAH, SON!). By the way, that sounds good. Just saying. Here are a couple tracks from him. The rest is up on Soundcloud.

50 Cents - Get Up (Bleuet & Waye Remix)
Sup son: Get up.

Bleuet - Breaker (Original Mix) [Very Fawking Hawt]
Dirty Electro.

Omnikrom - Comme à la Télévision (Bleuet Remix Vocal)
Hello there.

Bleuet – Boomstick
Face it, baby you're dynamite.

The Outhere Brothers - Enjoy! (Bleuet Remix) [Very Fawking Hawt]
Pretty damn tight.

Snoop Dog - Snoop Dogg Millionaire (Bleuet "Blueberry Got Primed" Bootleg)
Teh Dubstep-ish track.

They almost all deserve a [Very Fawking Hawt]... Oh well.

I decided to change my "way of posting" to a more regular basis. It won't be ALOT more music, since I won't do as many monster posts anymore. I'll generally post on one artist or style per post, making it easier for MOG and such.

I'm pretty sure you guys don't know a thing on Wolfgang Gartner. He's one of the very, very, VERY hot producers right now that nobody knows about (what the hell). He's been pumping amazing beats lately and I came across his newest releases that you'll probably enjoy. How would I describe his music? Groovy (PERIOD). You know the type of music that makes you feel cool for a moment? Well that's it. (Even if you're a big fat nerd with no life, it'll work, trust me.) I don't know if you remember but I posted one of his track a couple months ago here and I still think it's an amazing track (the name is Flashback). So here are a couple of his songs that you'll really enjoy, I hope. Feel cool for a couple minutes, baddies.

Wolfgang Gartner - The Clap
Clap for me, son.

Wolfgang Gartner - Bounce
Yeah I know... this song title got sexually abused. It fits this one though!

Wolfgang Gartner - Fire Power
This is his latest release and it's... fawking hawt.

Wolfgang Gartner is clearly in Justice's range (musically), too bad he's missing style and a partner. Buy his stuff here(Beatport).

Fake Blood flashing GIF logo.gifI have this mashup of the songs Flashback and Mars (from Fake Blood) that is pretty much full of awesomeness. Fake Blood is pretty much like Wolfgang Gartner: they aren't exactly popular, but their music rocks. You probably heard the original song Mars from Fake Blood somewhere: it got remixed so many times. Here is the track. If you didn't hear any of the two songs, you probably won't notice it's a mashup.

Wolfgang Gartner Vs. Fake Blood - Flashback to Mars (Denzal Park Mashup)
Like the title right? hah.

Make Me Wild.

Just do it, please. Thanks.

I'm tired and the song Kiss me thru the Phone JUST started playing. Shit. SOULJA BOI. Sigh. I don't feel like writting at all tonight, so here is music for you to listen at while you wait for the next real post. These are random songs I've been listening to lately.

Pitbull - I Know You Want Me (Evol Intent Remix)
If you like the original version you won't like this one. Fuck you.

Calvin Harris - Ready For The Weekend (High Contrast Remix) (Link Removed)
Drum n Bass version, because some Mr. Random wanted drum n bass and this version is actually a good remix of the song.

Ace of Base - All That She Wants (The Disco Villains Remix)
This is good stuff.

Tegan & Sara - Back in Your Head (Tiesto Remix)
To all you Tiesto haters: I admit that Trance isn't always where it's at, but sometimes it's good to relax and listen to some. Try it.

Oh really? Naw.
