IGLOOFEST!!!!

Since exams are over, it's time to PARTY! For those of you that live in (or around) Montreal, Igloofest is arriving quickly. For those who don't know: Igloofest is an event that happens every year at the Vieux Port of Montreal. It's three weeks worth of awesome electronic music played in the freezing Quebec weather. Insane right? Not really! It gives us the opportunity to warm ourselves up the sickest way possible: Dancing and Alcohol! Here's a link to the official site for those who want a little more information:

Igloofest

The two days I intend to go are the 16th and 29th of January. Some of the artists playing on those days: Noisia, La Riots, Renaissance Man, Rusko and King Cannibal. Insane or what! For those of you who like Dubstep and Drum & Bass, it's gonna be a good year. Here's a sample:

Contact - Foreign Beggars (ft. Noisia)

Pro Nails - Kid Sister (Rusko Remix)

3 Little Words- Frankmusik (KingCannibal Remix)

Finals are a bitch, really.

ONE DOWN BABY… THREE MORE TO GO, GOD DAMMIT.

Like the title states pretty clearly, finals suck, and we have finals right now… So we’re studying instead of listening to records. But hey, yesterday I was so sick of studying for effing maths that I mixed some music (for 10 minutes… sigh) and it gave some pretty cool result (good thing I recorded it… I usually don’t). It’ll be used on another video (of key spamming in some mmo game) my friend will make I don’t know when… he doesn’t have finals so it should be soon, I’ll add the link when it’ll be up.

So. This mix is pretty much inspired from the fact I want hot weather… and guess what?! IT STARTED SNOWING THIS WEEK, HELL YEAH. So it’s just some beat I would usually play during summer while it’s pretty hot. By the way, I decided that I’m going to move to Cali after I’m done university, fuck Canada’s weather.

The songs here are going to get posted one day on this blog (or are already posted), so just wait a little, it’ll happen. Enjoy the music, I think it’s a pretty awesome mix.

Tracklist:

1. Intro

2. Major Lazer – Pon De Floor (Diplo Rap Remix)

3. Dizzee Rascal – Holiday (Laidback Luke Remix)

4. Grafton Primary - Records For The Righteous (Hey Now remix)

5. Dada Life - Happy Hands & Happy Feet (Malentes Wasted Kidz & Wacky Mix)

6. Diplo - Wassup Wassup (Crookers Happy Remix) ft. Rye Rye

Ok, I'm REALLY pissed that my first post got deleted. I'm sorry for everyone who didn't have time to read it (you clearly missed out). Don't worry, I'm going to make it up to you this week with some sick new (and some old) shit.

For a while now, MGMT have been stealing the spotlight. Everybody likes their nice calm music and so do I, but I prefer when their songs are remade by another (equally awesome) artist. Bring out the Soulwax!

Kids - MGMT (Soulwax Remix)[Insanely Fawking Hawt]

I love remixes of almost anything. Most of my posts are going to include remixes, but a rare few are also going to include Mash-Ups. For the retarted few of you that don't know what a mash-up is, it's one song made up of two combined songs. These are usually pretty sick because they include groups you'd never EVER think would play together. This is a mix of both remix and mash-up. A little Arctic Monkeys mashed up with some Beastie Boys, then remixed by none other then JUSTICE! PUT YOUR HANDS UP!

When The Sun Goes Down - Arctic Monkeys vs. Beastie Boys (Justice Remix)

Finally, this is for those of you who, like us, are currently going through a period of insane spam studying. This calm set will help get you through this torture much faster and will even stop you from going on a suicidal killing spree at your school when you can't take it anymore. Seriously, its already stopped one of my friends from going on a rampage.

Soundbite 005 (May, 2009) - Sllavie[Very Fawking Soothing]

Sllavie is an amazing artist who has made a great amount nice, calm, house sets just for us science students (or more particularly anyone with final exams). His blog has almost all of them up for download. Enjoy and good luck getting out of the hellish nightmare we call the end of the semester!

I FINALLY bought my Torq Xponent and trust me, it was worth it. The thing is just amazing. For those out there that don’t know what a Torq Xponent is, well it’s a MIDI controller that imitates 2 CD players and a mixer. You plug it to your computer and it controls everything on let’s say Torq or Virtual DJ. Know what sucks though? I have a shit ton of things to do and I barely have time to play with it, whateverrrrr, vacation soon.

Since I love you so much, I’m posting more music. The first one from Dada Life is just the best remix out there of their track Happy Hands and Happy Feet. It got transformed into some “danceable” track… whatever… you’ll see. Then I just thought that you’d like some totally un-danceable track, so here is You a Star. AND THE FINAL ONE: No comments, just listen to it, it’s awesome.

Dada Life – Happy Hands & Happy Feet (Malentes Wasted Kidz & Wacky Mix)

Aquasky - You A Star feat. Goldmouf (Instrumental Mix)

Nadastrom – Save Us (Original Mix)

And here is the picture of my Xponent. You are now allowed to scream like a little girl.

My next few weeks will be full of shit with finals and assignments. I’ll keep posting tracks though, so don’t worry.

Here are three nice tracks that I’ve been listening to a lot lately. They’re bangers, pump up the volume and bang your head. Wassup.

Diplo – Wassup Wassup (Crookers Happy Remix) [Very Fawking Hawt]

Fukkk Offf – More Than Friends (Congorock Remix) [Very Fawking Hawt]

Redman – I Hold The Crown (Gigi Barocco Remix) [Very Fawking Hawt]

First of all, welcome my new slave, Will. He’ll be helping me out with the blog. He knows a lot of pretty tight tracks and he was giving me tracks for lupemy posts a while back, so you should like his style. EVERYBODY SAY “HI WILL”.

…SO. I had problems with blogger and mediafire a couple months ago because of some copyright, but it ended up to be not that bad (I lost 2 posts and some time trying to get them back/uploading files back to mediafire). I’m just posting some of the old links if you didn’t get the tracks when I first posted them. Some of them are still pretty good, so enjoy! My favorite tunes are marked with a [very fawking hawt] tag. Sorry for the rap, but I still think Lupe Fiasco’s tracks are pretty tight.

Bingo Players – Get Up (Diplo Remix) [very fawking hawt]

Bassnectar – Land of the Lupes [very fawking hawt]

Lupe Fiasco – Me and my Sneakers (ft. A-trak)

Lupe Fiasco – Little Weapon

One EskimO – Givin Up (Don Diablo remix)

Hearts Revolution – SwitchBlade (Designer Drugs remix)

Deadmau5 – Move For Me (ft. Kaskade) (Extended Mix)

Deadmau5 – Word Problems (Original Mix)

OH HI THERE.

So after some long-ass break, I've decided that it would be great to update my blog. The only thing is that I don't have the time/inspiration to keep the blog up to date on my own. What does that mean? Yes, it means I'll need more people to write for me. I already got someone, so if you're interested just send me an email to thehawt@hotmail.com. Basically, just tell me what your name is and what music you listen to. I would prefer people from Montreal (to talk about the Montreal electronic scene), but if you're awesome and from some other place, I'll take your "application" in consideration.

So what did I listen to lately? A fuckton of things. I don't have time to upload stuff tonight so I'll post a mix that I did last summer and that is already uploaded. It's really not that great, but if you like the Bloody Beetroots, you'll enjoy it. I'll make sure to post good stuff in the next few days/weeks.

Moi – Some mix. (LINK REMOVED WHAT THE FUCK?)

Oh and that's me on Friday night, missing Tiga because I was too sick. Fuck this.

UNRELEASED DEADMAU5 TRACKS rawrawrawr

Alright so, my two weeks of crap are almost done (meaning I’ll be able to actually post again...). Sorry for the big delay between posts, like I said in my last post, I’m very busy at the moment. Whatever.

Last Friday (25th), I went to Deadmau5 and it was amazing. Anyone who gets the chance to go to his show needs to go. Come early because it ends early (I didn’t know that and I missed the beginning of Deadmau5). The opening set is done by BURNS; I heard he was good... but I don’t know, I wasn’t there yet. Deadmau5 played pretty much everything the crowd wanted to hear, like his unreleased tracks: Catbread, You need a ladder and To play us out. These are my three personal favourite. If you think that Deadmau5 is too “soft” for you, then go at a show and you’ll see it isn’t. The big speakers will make the difference. If you’re still not sure, go listen to his latest mixes and you’ll see he’s that great. BLAST IT, PLAY IT LOUD, DO IT NOW.

Like all of you know, his new album has been out for about a week. For Lack of a Better Name is worth the 14$ on Beatport or wherever. I would recommend you buy it now, and for a deeper review, go check my old post on it here. There is also a link to a mix (it’s not the best, but it’s alright).

Since you cannot buy the unreleased tracks, I’m going to post these goodies. They are totally amazing. There is only Catbread that is the original mix; the others are rips from Electric Zoo. And YES it has the Zelda intro (in You Need a Ladder). Enjoy, and don’t forget: It’s more than a feeling. Haha.

I cannot post anything from his new album, it'll get deleted and I'll get in trouble.

Where are you my little heatsource.

Good Song and Randomness. I Like the Vibe, Yeah.

So like I said in my last post, I’m extremely busy this week (next week too), so I’m sorry in advance if I cannot keep up with posts. To summarize, I have tests and essays to do/study, there is Deadmau5 on Friday and my girlfriend takes a lot of my time (this one and deadmau5 are awesome). Weee.

I don’t have much music to post, sadly, because I barely have the time to listen to any music or to browse other blogs. SO, Here it goes, starting with the track and then with two upcoming album reviews.

I talked about Bleuet about two weeks ago and he sent me an email this week, saying that his new remix is out. He likes remixing terrible tracks... and making them better, more indie_ish. I really like this one. I really hate the original track though, I really do. Yes, you guessed right, another remix of Pitbull... holy shit. This one is more dark ravey-lounge. You should like it.

Fun stuff, roar.

I downloaded the promo CD of Power (Boys Noize’ upcoming album), and from what I’ve heard, it’s pretty tight if you like his style. If you didn’t get the chance to pick up the two tracks from his EP, get them here. It’s Jeffer and Starter. Just letting you know though, this album is messed up, in a good way. Can’t wait to get the normal and legal version of the tracks (without the “HI THIS IS A PROMOTIONAL COPY OF BOYS NOIZE’ UPCOMING ALBUM, POWER, BROUGHT YOU BY BOYS NOIZE RECORDS. GOOD STUFF” or something like that).

Then, I’ve downloaded and listened to Tiesto’s upcoming album Kaleidoscope. I know most of you hate trance, so I’ll be brief. The tracks are mostly all good and you don’t get sick of the style. He is less “spiritual” if you can call it like that (less parts with classical instruments that give you the feeling you’re watching a movie). Although I enjoyed that aspect of his music, this album is really kickass. It has more potential radio-wise, with songs featuring Calvin Harris and such (NELLY FURTADO WEEEE). I really like it. Here is the tracklist (sorry, no links, I’m not allowed...).

01. Kaleidoscope (Feat. Jonsi) (7:36)
02. Century (Feat. Calvin Harris) (4:42)
03. Feel it in My Bones (Feat. Tegan and Sara) (4:52)
04. Who Wants to Be Alone (Feat. Nelly Furtado) (4:36)
05. La Ride (4:13)
06. Bend it Like You Dont Care (3:22)
07. Knock You Out (Feat. Emily Haines) (5:06)
08. Louder than Boom (4:10)
09. Surrounded by Light (2:39)
10. Escape Me (Feat. Cc Sheffield) (4:17)
11. You Are My Diamond (Feat. Kianna) (4:10)
12. I Will Be Here (Feat. Sneaky Sound System) (3:26)
13. I Am Strong (Feat. Priscilla Ahn) (5:39)
14. Here on Earth (Feat. Cary Brothers) (4:55)
15. Always Near (1:33)
16. Its Not the Things You Say (Feat. Kele Okereke) (3:14)
17. Fresh Fruit (5:23)

Who wants cookies?

I do.

What the hell.

Okay so. I’ve been listening to this DJ for a while now, but I never felt like posting about him. This guy has the best name ever (after mine of course): Chewy Chocolate Cookies. HOW AMAZING IS THAT, HOLY SHIT?! Well his name is not the only amazing thing in this guy. His tracks are usually remixes of songs that aren’t danceable at all (MOST of the time, NOT all the time). You probably heard the remix he did of Genesis (from Justice) and if you didn’t, you’re missing out on something. Try thinking of Genesis, but danceable, and that, without unknown substances in your blood. Yeah, you said it: Dayrm.

His most recent release is a remix of Pon De Floor (from Major Lazer), which is totally insane. I know Pon De Floor was already a danceable-ish track, but he added some ravey effect to the song, while keeping the tribal feel. He just made it more headbanging, that’s all, yeah, okay. IT’S STILL HAWT FROM THE OVEN, ENJOY TEH COOKIEZZ.

By the way, I won't be able to post a lot for about 2 weeks, since I have all my assignments to hand in and I have tests and stuff. SORRIES.

Pants Off, I meant... Pance Party.

You’re probably asking yourself what the hell I’ll talk about, since not many people know about Pance Party and because the title of this post sounds so great. Pance Party is a group of 3 DJs from San Francisco. They’ve been pumping a couple remixes that are all great. These guys are talented, really. Their stuff mixes some house to some dirty-ish electro and sometimes some bubbly sound effects. Get some. Hah.

Their EP is out and free to get on their website: it's worth checking. They had some of their tracks dominate the hypem charts not too long ago and it wasn’t because they got lucky... their songs were actually good. I hate how sometimes the first song in popular (top20) sucks seriously (on hypem). Oh well, these doesn’t. ENJOY PRINCESS(es).

The Presets - Kicking and Screaming (Pance Party's Never Grow Up RMX)

Chester French - She Loves Everybody (Pance Party Remix)

Get the EP and other remixes here. There is a link to their Myspace and info about them if you want to learn more.

I Like It, Darling.

Who doesn’t remember the pokemon soundtracks... or even better, the first Final Fantasy soundtracks? We all know the “sound quality” was terrible, but we still all loved it. 8-bit music is amazing, end of story. I found some wannabe pokemon theme songs, or just some wannabe 8-bit songs. The first track is from Electrixx and uses the Tetris soundtrack, but just to make us think it’s an 8-bit song. At one point it plays (the original), but it changes to some hard-ish house beat (you’ll understand what I mean if you DARE listening to it).

Electrixx – Tetris
Game Over.

The second track is from an emerging artist, Boy 8-Bit. I really like his work, it’s unique. I would call it “light oldschool electro”. It isn’t some hard beats to dance to, but has a certain feel to it, making it enjoyable. It’ll probably make you happy if you’re in the right mood. At least it works for me, hah. This is my personal favourite right now, KNOW WHAT I’M SAYIN’?!

Boy 8-Bit – Baltic Pine
I want my music box, and my gf.

I posted another song that could fit in this “8-Bit” style that you can find here. It’s Lykke Li – Little Bit (Death to the Throne Re-remix). Oh well. I really like that one too. What the hell, I like every track I post. Yeah, whatever.

BONUS TRACK:
Unconditiona - Gladiators (Nari & Milani Remix)
Has no real link with 8-Bit music but I felt like posting it anyways, it's another "relax" song, but with (guess what!!!!?) more groove. Listen to the lyrics around 4:00.

I’ll make her say

I think you guessed that I loved music that makes you bang your head around or bounce. Well I’m sorry to announce you that if you don’t like that kind music, you won’t like this post. Hah.

When I think groovy music, I think of many artists, but it’s often Nadastrom. His tracks sound a lot like late night tracks, but with a touch of fresh coolness. All of you probably already heard Kid Cudi say “I’ll make her say, blah blah blah” right? Guess what, Nadastrom remixed the song and the result is pretty nasty. Good music to dance to is always fun to hear. You’ll like these.

BLUEBERRY GOT PRIMED, WAT!?

Yeah eh? What the hell is up “wif the fawking blueberries mang”? Well my friend created light (again) in my life, by making me discover Bleuet (blueberry in French). Gaultier Paré, also known as Bleuet, is a Montreal DJ/Producer that has a lot of potential.

His tunes involve a couple different styles, from dirty electro, to a kind dubstep-ish sound, mixed with rap and glitchy effects (sometimes he even adds a tribal feel to it!). The way his songs are built is really fun, because they aren’t near a style you hear everywhere, but it doesn’t sound like some car exploding with gnomes dancing around (like some other DJs that ATTEMPT to be special... but fail at being good AND special). Sounds more like a rainbow of colours with me smoking a blunt (purple) in front of it (YEAH, SON!). By the way, that sounds good. Just saying. Here are a couple tracks from him. The rest is up on Soundcloud.

50 Cents - Get Up (Bleuet & Waye Remix)
Sup son: Get up.

Bleuet - Breaker (Original Mix) [Very Fawking Hawt]
Dirty Electro.

Omnikrom - Comme à la Télévision (Bleuet Remix Vocal)
Hello there.

Bleuet – Boomstick
Face it, baby you're dynamite.

The Outhere Brothers - Enjoy! (Bleuet Remix) [Very Fawking Hawt]
Pretty damn tight.

Snoop Dog - Snoop Dogg Millionaire (Bleuet "Blueberry Got Primed" Bootleg)
Teh Dubstep-ish track.

They almost all deserve a [Very Fawking Hawt]... Oh well.

I decided to change my "way of posting" to a more regular basis. It won't be ALOT more music, since I won't do as many monster posts anymore. I'll generally post on one artist or style per post, making it easier for MOG and such.

I'm pretty sure you guys don't know a thing on Wolfgang Gartner. He's one of the very, very, VERY hot producers right now that nobody knows about (what the hell). He's been pumping amazing beats lately and I came across his newest releases that you'll probably enjoy. How would I describe his music? Groovy (PERIOD). You know the type of music that makes you feel cool for a moment? Well that's it. (Even if you're a big fat nerd with no life, it'll work, trust me.) I don't know if you remember but I posted one of his track a couple months ago here and I still think it's an amazing track (the name is Flashback). So here are a couple of his songs that you'll really enjoy, I hope. Feel cool for a couple minutes, baddies.

Wolfgang Gartner - The Clap
Clap for me, son.

Wolfgang Gartner - Bounce
Yeah I know... this song title got sexually abused. It fits this one though!

Wolfgang Gartner - Fire Power
This is his latest release and it's... fawking hawt.

Wolfgang Gartner is clearly in Justice's range (musically), too bad he's missing style and a partner. Buy his stuff here(Beatport).

Fake Blood flashing GIF logo.gifI have this mashup of the songs Flashback and Mars (from Fake Blood) that is pretty much full of awesomeness. Fake Blood is pretty much like Wolfgang Gartner: they aren't exactly popular, but their music rocks. You probably heard the original song Mars from Fake Blood somewhere: it got remixed so many times. Here is the track. If you didn't hear any of the two songs, you probably won't notice it's a mashup.

Wolfgang Gartner Vs. Fake Blood - Flashback to Mars (Denzal Park Mashup)
Like the title right? hah.

Make Me Wild.

Just do it, please. Thanks.

I'm tired and the song Kiss me thru the Phone JUST started playing. Shit. SOULJA BOI. Sigh. I don't feel like writting at all tonight, so here is music for you to listen at while you wait for the next real post. These are random songs I've been listening to lately.

Pitbull - I Know You Want Me (Evol Intent Remix)
If you like the original version you won't like this one. Fuck you.

Calvin Harris - Ready For The Weekend (High Contrast Remix) (Link Removed)
Drum n Bass version, because some Mr. Random wanted drum n bass and this version is actually a good remix of the song.

Ace of Base - All That She Wants (The Disco Villains Remix)
This is good stuff.

Tegan & Sara - Back in Your Head (Tiesto Remix)
To all you Tiesto haters: I admit that Trance isn't always where it's at, but sometimes it's good to relax and listen to some. Try it.

Oh really? Naw.

Yes I stole this from my friend.

Alright so, yeah. Read the title and think for two seconds: "What the eff did he stole?" and then remember that you're on a freaking music blog. BINGO! YOU'RE A GENIUS, STARSHINE. Yes I stole my friend's music (well, his founds). He may start posting on TheHawt too, so I hope you like his musical preferences: I do.

I'll now explain in this wall of text what, why and how I stole his ideas. It was on a sunny day/night (what the hell) and he said "HEY MAN I DO YOU KNOW ABOUT DADA LIFE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" and like a retard I answered "The movement?" (google Dada if you don't know about dadaism). I'm telling you, my friend is a pro in not making me feel bad about my retardness, he just sent me a link to Dada Life's August Mix, and I'm telling you, this is hot hot, hot, HOT stuff. They pretty much did a mix of EXACTLY what I felt like listening/having sex to. From Sharooz to Boys Noize, trespassing on Deadmau5 and Dj Mehdi's lawns, you have here a mix of dirty basslines and groovy music. It never ends... I mean, it does after 48 minutes, but your head doesn't want to believe it. During these 48 minutes, the dirty electro never stops, it just doesn't. Another good point: some of the vocals are really badass. Here is a link to the mix (not hosted by me/my hosting services) and their website with other mixes (other months' mixes, duh).

Mix - Website - Myspace - I Love you.

I can't believe I didn't really know about Dada Life (of course I had their Happy Hands and Happy Feet single, but I never bothered looking into their other songs), so I'll keep spamming you with more information about them. Their new album is supposed to come out around the 8th of september if I can remember well. It will be entitled "Just Do the Dada" and it's (like some other person said on Last.fm) MASSIVE. Yes I said that word for a reason. It's awesome, I love it. Dada Life found the balance between dirty basslines and vocals, without sounding like the well known electronic sound of "my car is not starting". I don't know if I'm allowed to post this but whatever. Here are a couple songs for you to listen and enjoy.

On a sidenote... Robots will rule the world one day... and they will be African. (what the hell) Simian Mobile Disco's new album, "Temporary Pleasure", is a nice piece of art, mixing some electronic sounds to the groove of some bongos/feel of bongos. The "Beeps" you can hear are just awesome: you'll see/hear/whatever/ihateu. I personally love these two songs so I hope you do too, if not... you're a baddie.

Then my last artist of this post (because I didn't want to post the new David Guetta's songs, since they are freaking everywhere... They'll maybe be in another post, I like being late) is Sharooz. Who? What? Why? Yeah, Sharooz. He does awesome tracks and for some reason that I know he isn't well known. YOU KNOW WHY YOU'RE NOT WELL KNOWN? IT'S BECAUSE YOU HAVE LIKE 1 TRACK THAT IS ON THE INTERNET: WHAT'S UP. Don't get me wrong though... I love his music. His new track "Adrenalize" is not even on Beatport, so I ripped it from Youtube, but the bitrate is TERRIBLE (8 instead of 320...), can't wait for it to be buy-able. It has some pretty dirty bassline (I know: I said dirty basslines alot in this post... oh well cuty pie: deal with it) that is enjoyable to listen at. Talking about DIRTY BASSLINES, here is the original version of Get Off (I posted a remix in an earlier post) that I think, is INSANE.

WARNING: This could be dangerous or bad for your car's speakers (mostly Get Off since the other has bad bitrate).

Sharooz - Adrenalize (TERRIBLE QUALITY, here is the Youtube link that has good quality: ROARRRR.)

Oh, by the way, sorry for being slow on posts, I had alot of stuff happening lately (my bday, parties, college starting, girlfriend <3, ...

New Stuff Weeee.

Well then: New shtuff. Like what? Jakwob. Yes, this dubstep DJ that got featured on BBC Radio 1 a couple times but no one knows about him yet. I already posted a song from him that is really amazing (Starry Eyed). So if you didn't listen to it yet, do it now because it's pretty much an awesome song, really. Download it Here. Jakwob remixed some artists and made their songs better (at least in my opinion he did). So here are three songs.

The first one (Everyday from Killa Kela) is a well known one, because it has been on Hypem charts for 2 weeks at least... Every DJ remixed it. I would call it a "chill" song, because it's not some big head banging track where you just want to go nuts and run everywhere yelling to the world how much that song is effed up "mang", but it's a pretty awesome track still.

The second one (The Fear - Lilly Allen) wasn't too popular yet (the remix that is) but it's my personal favorite. It's a little more "head banging" while still staying a calm song. You can easily recognize Jakwob's style in there (soft and then the heavy bassline starts). I love it.

And the third one is a remixed version of M.I.A. 's Pull up the Poo. I don't LOVE it but I still enjoy listening to it. I never really adored M.I.A. anyways. It's sounds more like some classic dubstep to be honnest, but still is groovy.

Killa Kela - Everyday (Jakwob Remix)

Lilly Allen - The Fear (Jakwob Remix)

M.I.A. - Pull up the Poo (Jakwob Remix)

Alright so enough with Jakwob and his amazing dubstep.

Some call him the "American Version of Justice", I think he's awesome, but not like Justice yet. Here is Richie Beretta. He released his new track Nitefist not too long ago and it's pretty amazing and very groovy: you'll like it. Then there is his Let it Rock remix that I like, still extremely groovy. You'll recognize some kind of Justice style in his tracks, but more in the drum set he uses. The hi-hat sometimes sounds like Justice's. What I like in his tracks is the fact they are well made and complete. The synth is nice and usually is the "good" one, the one you would like to hear for that kind of song. May your ears have fun:

Richie Beretta - Nitefist

Kevin Rudolf - Let It Rock (Richie Beretta mix)

I'll now present Loot and Plunder, from south Australia. Yes, Australia, not Africa. The "band" is composed of 2 DJs and guess what they make... MASHUPS! They are kind of like Super Mash Bros but more electro-based. I have two mashups for you guys that you should enjoy. It's the kind of music that makes you want to bang your head everywhere and go nuts (if you have monster speakers). They like good music: they like Crookers. Good.

Axwell & Splack Pack - I Found You (Loot & Plunder feat Hank Edit)

Crookers & Ying Yang Twins - Ain't Looking For A Bush (Junior & Second Letter's Party Banga)

Then there is a remixed version of The Sounds - No One Sleeps When I'm Awake, by Vikings. Like many DJs seem to do now, it sounds like MSTRKRFT at some point, but hey, MSTRKRFT is good so who cares. It has the same synth (similar) but a different drumset so it's still good and... almost unique. I like it.

The Sounds - No One Sleeps When Im Awake (VIKING remix)

My soft song of the day was remixed by Mike Snow, that is on fire these days, with his 25000000 remixes on all the blogs. This track is calm and enjoyable to listen at; don't play it a t a club though because people will leave. Hah. I like it.

Vampire Weekend - The Kids Don't Stand A Chance (Mike Snow Remix)

fawk you blogger and ULTRA Records

Okay so this post got deleted again... but it doesn't have a fucking link. I'm mad right now because I think this is bullshit. How the hell am I doing something illegal right now. You judge. Whatever. Fuck you Blogger and ULTRA Records. And have a nice day: I save my posts now.

Old Post:

Okay. Yeah, Okay. So after getting attacked by Blogger AND freaking mediafire (add Deadmau5's disc company) I can get my post back up. They attacked my 50-ish user blog but they don't care about the big ass blogs out there that have the album (the upcoming one) up. Yeah okay. So I can't post any links because I don't want this post freaking removed, AGAIN. Like I said in the post that got deleted, I have the album that is going to be out soon and it's really freaking awesome if you like Deadmau5. His upcoming world tour is going to be for the new album. Its name is going to be For Lack of A Better Name and will be released (officially) around the 22nd of september. Here is the tracklisting (WITHOUT LINKS, HAI.).

1. Deadmau5 - FML (6:35)
2. Deadmau5 - Moar Ghosts n Stuff (4:30)
3. Deadmau5 - Ghosts n Stuff (feat. Rob Swire) (3:14)
4. Deadmau5 - Hi Friend! (5:14)
5. Deadmau5 - Bot (5:22)
6. Deadmau5 - Word Problems (7:48)
7. Deadmau5 - Soma (6:07)
8. Deadmau5 - Lack Of A Better Name (6:58)
9. Deadmau5 - The 16th Hour (9:29)
10. Deadmau5 - Strobe (10:37)

Deadmau5's goal with this album is to show the world he can do more than one style of song. He has some tracks that sound exactly like his last album's style, but some others like FML have a brand new one. You know it's Deadmau5, but at the same time you don't. He also added some already known songs like Word Problems, Moar Ghosts n Stuff, Ghosts n Stuff, Hi Friend! and Lack of A Better Name. Of course they are new versions but we (most of us) still know what they sound like. The good thing about Ghosts n Stuff is the added voice that makes it awesome. You'll see when it's going to be out, or if you decide to surf the web to get it. Like I said earlier in the post, I can't link any files, I'm sorry. I don't want problems AGAIN.

Buy the single Lack of A Better Name here right now. (iTunes link)

Link to the 1 hour mix: Rawr. (Changed to a direct link, for some reason it doesn't work with my version of Internet Explorer but it works with Opera or Firefox)

To listen to it only (works with Internet Explorer): Go here and scroll down until you find a list of DJs with "Play" beside it and find Deadmau5.

RAWR. SO MUCH FAWKING POWER...!

Alright, I'm 10 days late. But who cares when it's to anounce the upcoming album... of Boys Noize? It got announced last week on Boys Noize's blog. The name is going to be Power and will have 12 awesome tracks. It should be out around September 25th. Here is the tracklisting (with of course, a link to the only 2 songs I was able to get my hands on). There are some previews on the web, but I hate posting bad quality songs or incomplete songs so if you really want to listen to the maybe 1 or 2 previews left on the web (they all got removed by BNR), just search the Hype Machine.

1. Gax
2. Kontact me
3. Starter
4. Jeffer
5. Transmission
6. Nerve
7. Trooper
8. Drummer
9. Sweet Light
10. Rozz Box
11. Nott
12. Heart Attack

From what I can see (listen...), it's going to be an awesome album. It seems like it will keep the "old school" Boys Noize's style but with a little touch of new-ness. It's more of a style that everybody can listen to (less effed up I guess). Enjoy the song Jeffer, it's amazing. Starter is good also, but effed up. Oh and by the way, they are from the Starter EP.

I didn't post this enough in previous posts: THESE ARE USED ONLY AS PREVIEWS, IF YOU LIKE THEM, BUY THEM. They aren't on iTunes though. They are on Beatport.

So here is the start of the upcoming albums spam

So yeah, here is the first post about upcoming albums. Bloody Beetroots will be releasing (Officially) their new album around August 21st. It got MASSIVELY LEAKED already but it doesn't mean I'm allowed to post many tracks so I'll only post two. The opinion on the infamous duo's new album is really shared. It's either you love it or you hate it. Of course The Bloody Beetroots' style is very special, but I would like to know what you think about the direction they are taking with Romborama (upcoming album), so leave comments. I personally seem to like it. I'm telling you, this is some pretty hard electro. Here is the tracklist:

1. 'Romborama' (ft. All Leather)
2. 'Have Mercy on Us' (ft. Ce'Cile)
3. 'Storm'
4. 'Awesome' (ft. The Cool Kids)
5. 'Cornelius'
6. 'It’s Better a DJ on 2 Turntables'
7. 'Talkin’ in My Sleep' (ft. Lisa Kekaula)
8. '2nd Streets Have No Name' (ft. Beta Bow)
9. 'Butter'
10. 'Warp 1.9' (ft. Steve Aoki)
11. 'Fucked from Above 1985'
12. 'Theolonius' (The Voodoo King)
13. 'Yeyo' (ft. Raw Man)
14. 'Little Stars' (ft. Vicarious Bliss)
15. 'Warp 7.7' (ft. Steve Aoki)
16. 'Make Me Blank' (ft. J*Davey)
17. 'House N° 84'
18. 'Mother'
19. 'I Love the Bloody Beetroots'
20. 'Anacletus'
21. 'Come La' (ft. Marracash) (bonus track)

Some songs that are there were already released on other records. The two songs posted are there to show you two different styles, one without vocals (House N° 84) and one with them (Awesome). Don't forget to get your copy when it's out.

Amanda Blank, Will you marry me?!

Amanda Blank's debut album just came out TODAY (Well, her first "real" album I guess). I didn't listen to it all yet but seems amazing. While I thought we already heard most of it since blogs posted a shitload of tracks from her, I was totally wrong. Here is the Tracklist for anyone interested (with links to previously posted tracks and two bonuses). Read the rest of the post for more information. Buy it on iTunes Here.

1. Make It Take It 2:25

2. Something Bigger, Something Better 3:05

3. Make - Up 2:16

4. Gimme What You Got (feat. Spank Rock) 2:46

5. Lemme Get Some (feat. Chuck Inglish) 3:01

6. Shame On Me 3:56

7. A Love Song 3:33

8. DJ 2:53

9. Might Like You Better 2:55

10. Big Heavy 3:59

11. Leaving You Behind (feat. Lykke Li) 2:45

Like I said, I didn't listen to it all yet (almost though!), but from what it seems, it's WAY above expectations. Seems like it's some speeded up electro rap bitchy music. It's awesome. I can't describe how fawking insane it is. The bassline in most of the songs is just amazing. Amanda Blank is on fawking fire. Buy it, Buy it, Buy it. It's only 8$ on iTunes..! Uffie is fawking dead. BYE UFFIE, AMANDAXOXO OWNED YOU. Hah. Sorry.

To add a little more fun to this post here are some remixes from her songs in this album. The first remix is made by Diplo (which is simply an amazing DJ, I would recommend you listening to a Live Set from him) and the second is by Rusko, another awesome DJ if you like dubstep. This second one is a little more fawked up but has some nice pattern and is probably the only remix of Might Like You Better that doesnt sound exactly like the original song.

Santigold (ft. Amanda Blank) - I'm a Lady (Diplo Remix)

Amanda Blank - Might Like You Better (Rusko Remix)

Actually, the Diplo remix is the one on the CD... but it's Diplo's work. The name is different on the CD though... it's: A Love Song. It's a little different but not by alot, it got edited to sound better on the radio (that's my guess). I'm trying to not post everything from her album, it's hard though.

IMPORTANT: Oh by the way, my Lupe Fiasco post got deleted and I can't recover it yet... I'm trying hard so I hope you're patient... it was a monster post too...

Yelle is like the french version of everything.

I was browsing around and I found Yelle's "new" song. She's making a french version of Who's that Girl from Robyn. I honnestly really like it. It's not some dirty electro effed up in the head song, but it's enjoyable to listen at. We could call Yelle the "French Uffie" or "French Amanda Blank", making songs with the same bitchy style in some cases (of course you need to understand french to find that out...). I just needed to share these finds. Here is the Original and a remix that is pretty neat, Enjoy. The remix is a little more electro, so listen to both!

Yelle - Qui est cette fille

Yelle - Qui est cette fille (FoulHouse remix)

I hope you understand the title.

PARTAY TIME!! WEeee

I didn't post much lately because I've been helping my friend to organize a party. It was very, very, very fun. I DJed for the first time outside of my house too! Hah. In this post I'll give you some songs I played at the party. Oh... and it ended with two public security cars and two police cars in front of the house at 2AM. FUN. Whatever, you don't care.

So let's start with this other Amanda Blank song, because many people (including me) "fawking love her". This song is not as amazing as Might Like You Better but still is really fun. It's less electro oriented but hey, it's still Amanda Blank. MAKE IT TAKE IT. Here you go, enjoy.

Amanda Blank - Make It Take It

Then I have this N.A.S.A. song that is starting to be played a little bit too much, let's hope it won't be a Day n' Nite V2. Aston Shuffle remixed this one and it's pretty good. The bass is groovy and makes it a perfect track to play when you want people to dance.

N.A.S.A. - Gifted (The Aston Shuffle Remix)

This next song is my favorite right now, really. Starry Eyed, remixed by Jakwob. This song is just... fawking amazing... it's insane (if you like dubstep ofcourse!). It has the same "style" (if you want to call it style?) than Little Bit by Lykke Li. Starts with a song that makes you think the songs is just commercial but then... you'll see, you'll love it. Boost the bass and the treble and play it loud.

Ellie Goulding - Starry Eyed (Jakwob Remix) [Very Fawking Hawt]

While looking at some mix's tracklists I found these two next songs. These are very very groovy song that makes you bang your head, so be ready for it. The first one is more like house, but the second is what you could call "dirty electro". PUT YOUR HOOD UP.

DiscoTech - Put Your Hood Up (Thug Rave Mix)

Guns'N'Bombs - Riddle of Steel

My "Relax" song lately is this one. Bl00fuck by Fukkk Offf, Remixed by LeBatman. Seems like many new DJs like calling themselves swears, can't say it doesn't help popularity... You know you want to listen to the song when the artist is Fukkk Offf... Well enjoy French (from France) music, it's good. The bonus track is just another song from this French band, it's good. Hope you have a nice week listening to my new post's songs!

BONUS TRACK:

I MIGHT LIKE YOU BETTER IF WE SLEPT TOGETHER

So finally after my week gone somewhere that is far from civilization (just kidding.), I'm back, and with new music (finally). Some of these songs are stuff I listened to while beeing in my car for 12 hours in a row or just while on the beach. Whatever, it's all good songs and I doubt you'll not love any.

Talking about love, Justice made a remix a couple months ago that I restarted to listen at. It's very slow (like 105bpm I think) but catchy and relax. Like every Justice song, it sounds old school and it sure is here. Not good for dancefloors, but awesome for anything else.

Lenny Kravitz - Let Love Rule (Justice Remix) (link removed)

I know I'm late... but here is a good Michael Jackson song that got remixed. For anybody that didn't know what P.Y.T. meant in the song D.A.N.C.E., it means Pretty Young Thing. P.Y.T. was composed by Michael Jackson and here is the remix. It's somewhat repetitive but pretty groovy so you should like it, I do.

Michael Jackson - P.Y.T. (Marquis Remix)

So my favorite song this week is obviously Shoes, the Noob Remix. It's not the kind of song you can like when you first listen to it but the more you listen to it, the more you'll get addicted to it. The reason why I love it is because I heard it before it actually got popular (ish) during a Justice show if I remember well. No need to tell you how awesome it was blasted on some insane sound system and with an insane croud aswell. Pump up the bass and listen to this. Oh and by the way, Tiga is from Montreal, REPRESENT.

Tiga - Shoes (Noob Remix) (Link removed) [Very Fawking Hawt]

Some old remix I came across while traveling. A remix of the well-known Warp 1.9 by Bloody Beetroots, renamed to Warp it Down by John Roman. It's a kind of mix between Warp and Shake it Down. Fun stuff.

John Roman - Warp it Down

This summer could be called "The Girl Summer". Why? Because so many female singers got popular, and fast, with their new albums, or even debut album. Let's start with Amanda Blank. It's the new Uffie, but with better lyrics or just simply a brain (I love Uffie but her songs' lyrics are retarded). Her songs are like Girly-Bitch-Electro-Rap. The most catchy is certainly Might Like You Better (post title). I like the lyrics, they are catchy.

Amanda Blank - Might Like You Better [Very Fawking Hawt]

Then OBVIOUSLY there is La Roux that has been on top of the hypem charts and on every blog lately. The music she does is not some big ass beat or anything but it sounds more like some "normal pop music" with a BIG bonus... it's electro and it's good. She's great and her hair is amazing.

La Roux - Colourless Color

Then there is the Yeah Yeah Yeahs that got remixed by MANY artists including MSTRKRFT. My favorite remix is clearly this one, you'll love it. Here you go: Heads Will Roll, remixed by Ryan Nexus. Love it.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll (Ryan Nexus Remix) (Link Removed)

The Last one for now is a song I really really really like. Don't get fooled by the start with the girl singing on top of this relax guitar riff. Wait until you hear that glitchy sound, that I call myself the Game Boy black and white mario edition with pikachoos and guns pew pew pew everywhere sounds. One of my favorite this week. Not danceable but awesome. And awesome is awesome in this case.

Lykke Li - Little Bit (Death to the Throne Re-Remix) [Very Fawking Hawt]

So Yeah...

I'm gone for a week to see family and stuff... don't have any ways to upload music at all so I'll just link something if I need to.

I was browsing the hype machine trying to find new stuff to listen at when I'll be back home and I found a link to a Super Mash Bros album (that was given out if I understood well, if not, I'll remove the link). So what are Super Mash Bros? No I didn't forget the S in front of Mash. They actually do some random mashups with known songs. I found out after listening to their songs that they usually (USUALLY) just take a rock song and put rap lyrics instead of the real ones. Although, some songs are pretty freaking groovy and fun to listen at. Nothing big really, but fun.

I would suggest you find "Kisses and Thugs" from them also, it's pretty fawking good. To be more precise about Super Mash Bros, their songs are just like a live set, but split into "songs". You'll understand after you listen to it.

I don't feel like getting mad anymore so I will stop my post here. Sorry but this keyboard makes me want to cut my wrists and suicide. It's like a laptop keyboard but even worst: the keys are small and stick to my fingers and ... and ... whatever.
When I'll be back I'll do some monster post or just a normal post, but with good music to listen at.

PS: I'll try uploading Kisses and Thugs when I get back home and giving a good link to it if anyone still wants it.

Underground stuff? kay. And car boom boom.

So what you usually get on the gazillion blogs around are only popular songs(or DJ) but hey, many songs that aren't that played are really amazing. I hate people that listen to certain music just "cuz it cool mang", because these are the ones that make the style not be so cool anymore (and they show how they can't chose for themselves).

This one was posted on You Can Call Me Pelski (my favorite blog) a couple months ago and I made it blast in my friend's car... guess what? it was awesome. It's a chill beat that gives you the illusion it's relax and then the "alarm tone" starts and the voice too. That part makes you feel that something is coming and then... BOOM. No one really knows this song but it's pretty fun. Hear for yourself.

Sharooz - Get Off (This Is Kokuz ReChop) [Very Fawking Hawt]

So... Car boom boom. Or simply making your house shake I guess... Well my friend does that alot with his biggass sound system. He loves Dubstep and stuff; told me it was great to make your house explode and it really is, tried it myself. Here are a couple of Dubstep songs: basicly you love it or hate it, nothing else. The first song is from Larry Tee , some brooklyn dude. He pumped some crazy beats on his last album (Club Badd), I suggest you take a look to it. The song posted here are remixes for the purpose of not stealing the artist. Hipster girl is a really relax song but very groovy. The bonus song is NOT dubstep, but damn that thing is hawt (giving you an idea of what Larry Tee can do... with MSTRKRFT of course).

Larry Tee - Hipster Girl (Evol Intent Remix)

BONUS: Larry Tee - I Love U(MSTRKRFT Edit) [Very Fawking Hawt]

There was this retarded burst of Day N Night (Crookers remix) that became an overplayed and pretty boring song in my opinion (yeah it played every 5 minutes on radio stations), even if I love crookers. At least Dubstep saved that one... Here it is, a remix from Rusko. That guy is amazing.

Kid Cudi - Day n Night (Rusko's Big Trombone Remix)

I always loved stuff that really hit hard, that makes you say woah. If you like heavy stuff you'll love this one.

Foreign Beggars, DJ Primecuts - Hit That Gash (DJ Primecuts' Itchy Naaan Re-Rub) [Very Fawking Hawt]

Here is a slower song that is just cool, period. It's really good but long.

Loco Dice - Pimp Jackson Is Talkin' Now (Dubbel Dutch bootleg)

"Oldschool" stuff

In this context, "oldschool" doesn't mean 70-80s, but more like 2004-2006. What is oldschool? the songs I'm posting today. Why? Because they were in some Justice set a couple years ago and they are still songs that I love listening to. You can easily recognize that they are songs Justice would play at I Love Techno for example.

The first one today is Testarossa Overdrive, the remixed version of Testarossa Autodrive from Kavinsky, by Sebastian. I find it alot better if you're in DJing at all since it has more punch, more intensity. Although I find it better, if you wanted Kavinsky's "1986 in a sport car" style, the original version would be better for you. Here are the two versions, so see for yourself.

Everybody knows about Surkin, right? That guy that brings this oldschool sound (real oldschool this time) to his electro tunes. Well Justice liked playing Radio Fireworks awhile back so here it is.

Then there is this "African bongo song" that is pretty hot if you mix it with Testarossa overdrive (the remix). The bongos mixed with the bass makes an awesome track. GUESS WHAT'S THE NAME?! Bongo song.

The last one for now is by Les Petits Pilous, Wake Up. This song is really messed up but I like it. The sounds are from the bottom of their CPU and mixed with some device that makes it unique and retarded. Hard to explain, ya dig?! Yeah you dig. Now listen to this retardation and tell me how you like it. (Even though I'm kind of bashing into it, I like it.)

BONUS:

Uh.

It is now official, Michael Jackson is dead. Even if he was reknowned for beeing a pedo, Michael Jackson created awesome music that opened doors for new styles. To make your sadfaces look better I found this on the Internet: Eat it. Signed by Boys Noize, this parody of Beat It is pretty funny.

Boys Noize - Eat it

Oh, and I wish I could dance like Michael Jackson... damn. He was amazing.

R.I.P. BUDDY, WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU.

On a side note, I was watching videos on youtube when I found this song. It's groovy and makes you want to dance and jump around if you have big speakers. It's some nice music, listen to it.

Wolfgang Gartner - Flashback (Original Mix)

By the way: I'll keep posting alot until I have 1 full page of text, because until then, the blog will look empty in my opinion.

I LOVE YOU BUT I'VE CHOSEN DISCO.

Yes, that needed to be written in Caps, because we all know that CAPS IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL. That is basicly Le Castle Vania's favorite sentence! (not the caps thing)

LCV, AKA DJ DJ Dylan creates some amazing songs. It's basicly dirty electro beats, seeming like if it was Metal in some cases. He calls it himself "Disco Punk" or "Dirty Electro". Whatever you call it, it's amazing.

The first song I'm posting is Zero Machine, one of his most popular tune, a remix of a Smashing Pumpkins song, PERIOD.

Le Castle Vania - Zero Machine

The second song is THE MESSIAH, made by Le Castle Vania and Computer Club. The melody itself is really messed up, but always is fun to hear when LCV blasts the "dramatic" part in a show, right before playing some Boys Noize or other heavier stuff.

Le Castle Vania + Computer club - THE MESSIAH

I know you're all yelling MORE MORE MORE, so here it is, Go Back from GRUM, remixed by LCV. It has a similar pattern as ZeroMachine like you will probably notice, but I can't get tired of it. The heavy sound in this song makes you want to bang your head, and hard.

GRUM - Go Back (Le Castle Vania Remix) [Very Fawking Hawt]

Since most of LCV's songs (including the 3 presented here) are all on his myspace (http://www.myspace.com/castlevaniadisco), I won't post anymore of the ones you can easily get on his page.

Before talking about Lies in Disguise, I'll post the only song I didn't find on Myspace (I think so...), which is Tigertron, featuring Factory Aire. I don't like it as much as Go Back or ZeroMachine but it's still worth the effort of listening to it.

Le Castle Vania - Tigertron (Feat Factory Aire)

So... Lies in Disguise time. Lies in Disguise is basicly LCV with some other guy named Blake Miller. Their mixes are pretty much all good or better. It is very easy to see that LCV is in there because of his very recognizable sounds (DIRTY). Here are a couple songs of theirs.

Party Shank - Penis Vs. Vagina (Lies in Disguise Remix) [Very Fawking Hawt]

The Toxic Avenger - Poker Face (Lies in Disguise Remix)

Lies in Disguise - Meet Your Replacement
